Mark "Bushy" Bliss makes a surprise return to Victory Lane along with MacLeod, Batista, Hoch and Hirsch.

It was a little bit of a hectic day for us at LancasterRacer.com as we went to two race tracks in one day. Wyoming County put on a great show with the RoC modifieds and the track held up beautifully. After those races, we decided to haul on over to Lancaster Raceway Park for Robosaurus and the Late Model Mid-Season Championship. All in all, it was a real fun day full of racing action.

The first feature of the night was that of the Fast and Furious Four Cylinders. Brandon Hirsch started up front and created a huge lead over the other cars and went on to pick up his second Theil Motorsports 4 Cyl feature win.

With a schedule adjustment, the Super Stocks were up next. Frank Batista Jr. got the lead early and looked like he was going to cruise onto another victory but Dave Johnson was reeling him in quickly. Johnson couldn't get around Batista but tried to put the car under him in the last turn. Johnson came up a little short and Batista went on to win. Johnson, Roesch, Kron and Canonico rounded out the top 5.

The huge 29 car field of Street Stocks rolled out next. Matt Jurek started on the pole. The caution flag flew early as Jim Bryant got into the backstretch wall on lap 1. Lancaster reset the field and that put both the Jurek's back on the front row. As the 65 sunk through the field, Matt Jurek took the lead and was battling with Scott Mutka for the top spot. As they were battling, Mark Hoch (who everyone thought was Jeff Madill) was charging through the pack and passed Mutka on lap 7 to take the lead. Andy Jankowiak also found himself in the second spot and put the pressure on Hoch for the lead. In the last few laps, Jankowiak tried moving Hoch out of the way and both cars got loose but both got it back together. Hoch went on to win the race and Jankowiak, Julicher, Agen and Hanel Jr. rounded out the top 5.

Mark Pennell started on the pole for the 50 lap Late Model Mid-season Championship race with Mark Bliss to his outside. Bliss got around Pennell early to take the lead. On lap 7, Dave Rigan spun in turn 2 to bring out the caution. The top 3 included Bliss, Nurmi, and Alix. By lap 20, Alix moved up to second and on lap 21, Tommy Reese spun to bring out the caution. Mark Bliss had a decent sized lead as the other cars battled for position. Todd Hoddick got around cars on the outside including Alix and Nurmi to move up to second. Hoddick tried to reel in Bliss but couldn't get it done as Mark "Bushy" Bliss took home the win. Hoddick, Alix, Thomas, and Nurmi rounded out the top 5.

After Robosaurus, the SST Sportsman were out next. Sherri Hogan started on the pole in a 15 car field. On lap 1, Craig Dolphin got pushed into the front stretch wall and his car went out on the hook. Tom MacLeod got the lead from Hogan on the restart and went on to lead the rest of the laps, holding off Nick Cappelli to capture his first Sportsman win. Cappelli, Hogan, Evans, and Fiebs Jr. rounded out the top 5 finishers.

Next Weekend, LancasterRacer.com will not be at the track for real this time. July 21st all divisions will be competing for the coveted Mid Season Championship trophies as Fleet Maintenance and Hot Head Hair Salon Present Trucker Appreciation Night. In addition there will also be a SST 75 Lap Tour Race and Cup Lites. The Bobcat of Buffalo Late Models will have the night off.
