Matt Alix, Erick Rudolph, Jim Stein, Mike Blair and Tim Haniszewski Sr all take home wins.

Dunn Tire Raceway Park had a great summertime racing show in downtown Lancaster as the weather was perfect and the car counts were pretty good. Dale Jr's #88 National Guard Chevrolet was on display in the main concourse. On card for the evenings races were the 4 cylinders, TQ Midgets, Street Stocks, SST Sportsman and Late Models.

The first feature race was that of the TQ Midgets. 16 cars started the race with Wayne Turnbull on the pole. Wayne had problems on lap 2 which brought out the caution. The #41 which Turnbull was driving was leaking and stopped in turn 3. After this, Mike Blair took the lead. Blair would go on to lead the rest of the race and created a nice gap between himself and the second place car. Dan Lawrence, Dave Wollaber, Chris Bandelian and Jamie Collard rounded out the top 5.

After the Midget race, the Fast and Furious 4 cylinders were up next. Only 10 cars started the race, but it was plenty enough as the 4 cylinders race around the inner oval at DTRP. The #29 car of Kalie Clementi started on the pole with Tim Durfy to her outside. Durfy actually ran the dirt in the Ransomville Speedway Fire Hall Enduro the night before. Tim Haniszewski Sr was able to get the lead early but Durfy was right on his tail. Durf tried to make a move around Haniszewski a couple times but couldnt get it done was Haniszewski went on to win another 4 cylinder feature.

The Street Stocks were up next with Ed Nowak starting on the pole with 20 cars behind him. Nowak was able to lead until about lap 5 when Dave Frieder took command in his blue #7. Frieder would go on to lead the next 2 laps before last weeks winner, Jim Stein, got around him. It was now a battle for the lead as Stein sat first and Julicher sat second. Stein was able to hold off Julicher and take home his second win in a row. Julicher, Hewson, Gallagher and Bryant rounded out the top 5.

20 cars started the SST Sportsman feature with Ed Murray on the pole. Andy Jankowiak got the lead early but Erick Rudolph was right on his back bumper. Rudolph and Jankowiak battled side by side until lap 12 when the caution came out for Steve Fuchs. Rudolph got the lead on the restart and ended up leading the remainer of the feature. McGrath got around Jankowiak early on, but Jankowiak battled back and got the 2nd position back from McGrath. Jankowiak, McGrath, Jeff Price and Tom MacLeod rounded out the top 5.

Ron Nurmi started on the pole for the Late Model Feature with Scott Skora to his outside. 13 cars started the race. On the start, Nurmi got loose and spun so the field was reset and they tried it again. Nurmi led until lap lap 26 when after a restart, Nurmi cut a tire down. This put Matt Alix in the lead. Nurmi was able to return and got back up to the 3rd position. Only 7 cars ended the race on the track from the 13 that started. Alix won with Hoddick, Nurmi, Skora and Reese rounding out the top 5.

Next Saturday, the Stock Cars are off at Dunn Tire Raceway Park. Come on back June 21st - NAPA Presents KIDS DAY (kids under 15 just $1) with 4 cylinders, street stocks, sst sportsman, late models and MODIFIED 50 LAPPER.
