Lancaster Schedule and Roster's Recap. posted on March 10, 2006 After reviewing the 2006 schedule and rosters, the upcoming season at Lancaster Raceway Park seems to be quite exciting. Many nights at LRP feature special events and extra distance races. The only bad thing is how many nights the Mod's are off. In the first 2 months of racing, the modifieds off more than usual. This isn't good considering some Whelen Modified Tour Drivers could possibly have made the shows. The WMT schedule is so slim this year with only 14 races so we may see some WMT drivers at LRP more often. I have to say, Jim Reid did make up for having the mod's off so many nights. He added special distance races for the Late Models and cool exhibits such as the Wheel standing Bus, Skydivers, Motorcycle shows, Robosaurus, Monster Trucks and 2 demolition derbies. To view the 2006 Schedule, click here. Some new faces hit the rosters for Lancaster. The Hanel family will be racing with Bobby Hanel Jr. racing for Jim Stein and Bob Hanel Sr. racing the car he purchased over the off-season. Sr won't be racing the whole schedule but it should be cool seeing father and son duel it out on Lancaster's 5/8 mile oval. Bob Kosachook is driving in the SST Sportsmans as well as Ron Williams. Bob Weber is supposed to be back in the late models after a year off with an injury. Jerry Hruby should show up for a few races also. Tim DiPasquale, Bob Reis, and Bill Hebing are all on the Modified roster. It is still unknown if all of these drivers will show up at LRP but its good to see the rosters grow. The racing season is right around the corner. As for us at LRP Info, we will be at 95% of the races this year. The website will be updated the same as usual, results - same night write up and pictures - morning after Some extra photos will also be up on Mike Hossfeld Racing Photos periodically throughout the season.
